Construction of the screens
Offizz is a result of extensive experience with sound absorbing products and tests carried out in accordance with international standards.
The standardized measurements that have been
made show that the floor screen, Offizz, can dampen the general
sound level by up to 19 dB(A). This is due to the size of the
screen surface, its design and placement.
Ingela Pettersson, production manager for the
manufacturing of the screens at Frendin Carpentry tells how
production is carried out:
"After an order comes in we collect all the materials and glue the
ordered cloth on the mineral wool with water-based glue.
After that, assembly and the final quality assurance is carried
out. All screens are checked thoroughly. For example, it is
important that there are no folds in the attached cloth.
Production is based on extensive
experience with similar products. All new models that ZilenZio
develops are evaluated whereby a prototype is produced, which
undergoes acoustic measurement in accordance with international
standards.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INSULATION AND DAMPING:
» Sound insulation is about isolation, setting up a wall that isolates the sound source from the recipient.
» Sound absorption is about absorbing sound in order to reduce the reverberation in the room.
» Damping is often a combination of both sound insulation and sound absorption.
